Sources & Data Limitations
Last updated: June 14, 2026
SharpTake is built to help users understand sports data in context. The product combines structured data, model-derived calculations, and plain-language interpretation where available.
1. Source Attribution
SharpTake may use, reference, or link to third-party sports data sources. Current and future sources may include public box score, roster, schedule, advanced metric, or team-rating data.
Third-party names, data sources, teams, schools, conferences, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
SharpTake is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to the NCAA, ESPN, BartTorvik, T-Rank, CollegeBasketballData, CollegeFootballData, any school, conference, team, league, sportsbook, or betting operator, unless explicitly stated.
2. Data Coverage
Data coverage may vary by:
- sport
- season
- team
- player
- game
- source
- metric
- availability
- ingestion status
Some teams, players, games, or stats may be missing, delayed, duplicated, or incomplete.
3. Advanced Metrics
Advanced metrics can be useful, but they are not perfect. Different sources may define or calculate metrics differently. A strong rating does not guarantee future performance, and a weak rating does not prove a team or player cannot outperform expectations.
4. Forecast and Rating Snapshots
Some ratings or forecasts may be based on the data snapshot available at the time SharpTake last loaded or processed the data. Historical evaluations may not always represent true pregame information unless dated pregame snapshots are specifically available.
5. Interpretation Limits
SharpTake is designed to explain what the available data suggests. It may not fully capture injuries, player availability, coaching changes, role changes, lineup changes, late news, matchup-specific scouting, or other context that can affect sports outcomes.
